The Start of Something New

Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy lies a small unregarded yellow sun.

Orbiting this at a distance of roughly ninety-two million miles is an utterly insignificant little blue green planet whose ape- descended life forms are so amazingly primitive that they still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea.

This planet has - or rather had - a problem, which was this: most of the people on it were unhappy for pretty much of the time. Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movements of small green pieces of paper, which is odd because on the whole it wasn't the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy.

And so the problem remained; lots of the people were mean, and most of them were miserable, even the ones with digital watches.

Many were increasingly of the opinion that they'd all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place. And some said that even the trees had been a bad move, and that no one should ever have left the oceans.

And then, one Wednesday, nearly two thousand years after one man had been nailed to a tree for saying how great it would be to be nice to people for a change, one person realised what was going wrong in his life, that he desperately needs a blog, a whole new blog that would succeed the terrible failure created several years ago. This time it was right, it would work, and no one would have to get nailed to anything.

Fortunately, however, he got to post this up on Blogspot in time, just days before the Great Catastrophe of the Year-End Examinations arrived, and his idea was not lost forever.

This is not the story of the Great Catastrophe of the Year-End Examinations.

This is HIS story.

Hi.

Some do not understand my assumed name, Ferralucis. Some even say it is GAY.

Horror of all horrors.

Try splitting the name Ferralucis into two halves, take off the last letter of each half, and put the latter half in front of the first half.

Yup, you got it. LuciFerr (or Lucifer, in that case). But DON'T PANIC.

Try to Wiki it, even. THEN you will know the meaning of the word.

My true name is Low Zi Qian.

I am 14 years old and I am studying in Hwa Chong Institution. My class is 2B. The above information is NOT permanent. It is only for the year 2007.

My birthday is 20 September 1993.

I have eczema.

I am a person who almost never gets to use the computer, because my twin brother is using it to play Age of Pirates. A game which I must admit, is quite cool.

I play the flute and the piccolo.

I like reading. And watching movies. And playing computer games. A lot.

I like Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker Trilogy, Jodi Picoult's books, Harry Potter series, and High School Musicals 1 & 2.

Well, basically that's all for my self-intro.

You might ask: How did I get my assumed name?

In Primary 6, after the UPSR Exams, some classmates of mine decided to create a "Superheroes' Academy" using the number of students in my class and their nicknames, and I was stuck as the guy who could control light. Somehow it stuck till now.

I know it sounds lame, but hey, we were P6 students right?

So there you are. I created this blog cos' my previous one was such a fiasco. This blog is only to talk about my life.

Well, since today I had nothing special going on, I will end this post for now.

Hope you enjoy reading my blog.

Cheers,
Ferralucis
